Wow. 2020 just seems to be one thing after the next, right?! In this year we have faced a global pandemic (which comes with stay at home orders, economic troubles, and lots of fear), and just recently we have been fighting racial injustice, which has led to dangerous riots and looting. That’s all in addition to the other difficult things you may be personally facing in 2020! All of these things have made it a very hard year (and we’re not even half way!!)
Friend, as difficult as all of this is, I want to remind you that there is hope in whatever you are facing currently. The things happening in our nation and across the globe effect all individuals, so whether your troubles are related to the coronavirus outbreak, racism, riots/looting, or a personal burden, I want to remind you that you can have hope!
Whatever you are facing will one day come to pass. Our trials do not last forever, and our God is stronger than everything that we face. Check out these words of Jesus…
“I have said these things to you, that in me you have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
Jesus has already overcome!! There is victory in His Name! He is stronger than sickness! He is stronger than death! He is stronger than trauma! He is stronger! And there is power in knowing and trusting the One who is stronger than all that is in the world.
So friend, in this time of much trouble and tribulation, I pray that the Lord reveals Himself and His sovereignty to you. All of this will one day pass, and we will be able to see how the Lord has overcome. I pray that you are filled with the hope and joy and peace that comes from knowing the Most High King.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
Romans 15:13
You are loved. You are seen. You are heard. You are thought of. You are treasured. You are not alone.
